exactly i do feel bad for him sure he rubs off as some a**hole but he genuinely wants to have good duels based on skill.. I find it funny the guy who seems most quiet/smart turns out to be the one with the most sadisitic past/backstory and has an alter ego / hides his true nature.. I just hope when Sulette defeats him he doesnt go proposing to her after lmao

You gotta admit the boy has grit, he maybe a fool but he doesn't use fancy tech to win is admirable in its own way. If he had been born in the roman era he would have been a general.

Tho he isn't the most tactical out of all the young pilots, but his ability to adapt mid combat is really amazing, if he hadn't started the duel so aggressive in that last moment he might have won, in a way he might be the only natural "new type pilot" we have seen in a while

Yeah man, he's more capable than MC but lost because of her drones and that combat AI that controlled he's mech at the start.

true if he accepts his flaws as a pilot he would be able to win. He has good reflex and instincts, he could add shield bits to make up for the uncanny speed of the machines, he would be indomitable in any battle.

Guel has been losing his duels, but he can still run circles with 99% of the school I think. Elan and Suletta's cases are pretty different from the average student.

I'm stuck on the part where the girls who knew he said to bring her Gundam STILL thought it was a date. Learning must be optional at this school.

I'm wondering if this is an EVA situation, where you have to bond with the mobile suit before you hit a certain age to avoid the worst effects. And since most people wouldn't think of putting a baby into a mobile suit, that's why they haven't figured it out.

Guel definitely gave a bad first impression, but after seeing how his dad is, and how he carried himself during the duel with Suletta, I'm just hoping that even if he becomes the Mask Guy for the series, he'll at least survive.

Now i started to like Guel much more than Elan

I prefer the calmer characters over the hot-headed ones, but it was amusing to see Guel protect Suletta like a Tsundere.

To be honest, Guel gives me the vibes of Tsukasa Domyoji from Boys Over Flowers. Overbearing but not exactly a bad guy deep down. Everyone's been an edgy teenager once and this would look worse if they are rich and is probably able to get away with bullying poorer people (Circumstance caused)

But if you take a step back and look at the guy's actions, he's actually following rules that were established. He never did anything too malicious or conniving.

I genuinely felt sorry for Suletta she wanted to make a human connection with Elan and the only reason he cared about her was to gather intelligence about her Gundam and know who/what she is. I felt bad for Suletta asking for his birthday when he showed his true colours/what he really was.. her waifu was right in not to trust him.. I dont understand why Suletta wants to be friends/form friendship with rival teams/gundams/political parties like technically speaking they shouldnt be cooperating together they are rivals.. its a competition

I don't think Elan's all black. Give him an episode or two and he'll come around. He's just frustrated.

Probably won't happen, at least not for a while. It's clear Elan resents Suletta for her bond with Aerial while he was bred/ordered specifically to pilot Gundams and suffer the side-effects. They're on two different ends of the Gundam experience spectrum right now.

technically suletta has to agree to the terms for it to be valid,hence if she sees the stakes requested by elan is too much she can reject right?

aerial accepts suletta as its pilot. it means intead of the pilot carrying the heavy toll on controlling. suletta encounter some hows hows create a new function, which allows for the gundam and the pilot to share the burden, but it still a taboo, because it means aerial gain a semi self awareness.

If thats the case then put the combat AI ghost (from AMAIN) in a gundam and let see what will happen.

Geez, Ghost was already OP that was narrowly defeated, twice.

This series would be over in one episode if Ghost went full on rampage.

And if guel use more common sense and calm analysis of the environment and situation he can probably be close to effectiveness of ghost because of his adaptive senses and ferocity only lagging behind in reaction time because ghost is an integrated AI and can directly control the mech
